I use water colour and acrylic to convey the movement of light, the intensity of colour and the stark contrast of tone that I find in the Brecon Beacons. It is here where I feel most inspired due to the constant changes of light and form across the hills.
I paint onto a textured base made from tissue paper or handmade papers and then use multiple layers of transparent paint in order to create the impression of variations of atmosphere.
