    Matthew Wood RCA is a contemporary British artist and member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, known for his distinctive paintings that combine strong composition with a refined sense of colour and atmosphere. Based in Wales, his work reflects a confident and individual approach to contemporary painting. Matthew is rated as one of the leading artists in Wales today.

    Working in gouache on panel, Wood creates compositions that balance structure with expressive freedom. His paintings often explore empty rooms with just one source of light, resulting in work that is both visually engaging and intimate.

    As a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy (RCA), Wood is recognised for his contribution to contemporary Welsh and British art. His work has been widely exhibited and is held in private collections.
