Mike Hall was a contemporary British artist known for his distinctive paintings that captured a strong sense of place and atmosphere. Based in the UK, his work reflected a deep engagement with the landscape, combining observation with a confident and expressive painterly style.
Working primarily in acrylic on panel, Hall developed a recognisable visual language through his use of colour, composition and mark-making. His paintings balance structure with spontaneity, resulting in works that feel both immediate and enduring.
During his lifetime, Hall exhibited widely and his work is held in private collections. At The Lion Street Gallery, we are proud to continue representing his work as part of our programme supporting artists from Wales and the Borders.
Hall’s paintings remain highly regarded by collectors of contemporary British art, particularly those interested in landscape painting with a strong sense of character and painterly quality.
