Jill Jeffrey

Jill Jeffrey’s work is inspired by the landscapes of the western British Isles, especially Pembrokeshire, Anglesey, Wester Ross, and the Hebrides. Working from sketchbooks, she captures the drama of changing light, weather, and movement within the land. Her paintings combine observation with imagination, creating a dialogue between artist and place.

Jill has received numerous awards, including the Royal Shakespeare Theatre National Design Award, the Arts Council of Great Britain Designer Award, and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists First Prize, where she became an Associate Member in 1996. She was elected to the Pastel Society in 1997, winning prizes there over two decades.

Her work has been exhibited in Canada, Australia, and Norway, with a forthcoming exhibition at the John Davies Gallery, Moreton-in-Marsh, in June 2025.
