Sue Jones creates beautifully tactile sculptures inspired by the textures, patterns and forms found in nature. Born in 1964 and raised in Shropshire, Sue moved to Oxfordshire at 16 to work with horses, developing a deep connection with the countryside that continues to influence her work.
Working in materials including slate, stone, bronze resin and bronze, Sue’s sculptures have a strong sense of movement, emotion and natural form. Her pieces are designed not only to be seen, but to be felt — inviting the viewer to connect with the shapes, surfaces and character of each work.
Sue says:
“Living in the countryside, I never cease to see beauty in nature. This informs my work through textures, patterns and form. Each piece is a very personal expression, full of emotion and a deep love of nature.”
Sue has exhibited widely, including at the Mall Galleries in London, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, Oxford Artweeks, Avebury Manor National Trust, and the Society of Women Artists. She is also a member of the Oxford Sculptors Group.
Her work brings a quiet strength and organic elegance to any interior, making each sculpture a distinctive and personal piece for the home or collection.
