Gerald Dewsbury RCA is a contemporary British artist and member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, known for his atmospheric landscape paintings that capture the character and changing light of the Welsh countryside. Based in Pembrokeshire in Wales, his work reflects a deep connection to place and a refined, observational approach.

Working primarily in [medium – e.g. oil or mixed media], Dewsbury uses subtle colour, texture and composition to create paintings that convey both structure and atmosphere. His work balances careful observation with painterly expression, resulting in pieces that feel both grounded and evocative.

His work has been widely exhibited and is held in private collections. As a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, Dewsbury is recognised for his contribution to contemporary Welsh art. At The Lion Street Gallery, we are pleased to present his work as part of our programme supporting artists from Wales and the Borders.

Dewsbury’s paintings are sought after by collectors of contemporary British and Welsh art, particularly those interested in landscape painting with a strong sense of place and quiet intensity.
