Kevin Maddison

I originally trained at the London College of Printing as a Graphic Designer but have spent most of my working life as an Illustrator, with some enjoyable spells as a Lecturer. I illustrated  three Edward Lear poems launched at the Fine Arts Society gallery and exhibited at Nash House. One book was included in the annual Fifty Best Books awards and was part of a touring exhibition of British Illustration. I also had a one man exhibition at the ‘ Illustrators Art ’  gallery with my Midsummers Night’s Dream. I have also exhibited in European Illustration and the Association of Illustrators annual show. Some of my illustrations are now in private collections. I have also been involved with non fiction book illustration and have covered most subjects from ancient worlds to architectural reconstructions.

Three years ago following the ups and downs of Illustrating in the publishing world I rediscovered Etching and the freedom from the constraints of deadlines. Enjoying the whole process from the alchemy of the etch to the beautiful linear quality that can be achieved
